Marketplace role

Machinery Matchmaker is a platform that helps connect machinery buyers, sellers and service providers.

Unless clearly stated otherwise, Machinery Matchmaker does not own the machinery listed by third-party sellers and is not automatically a party to every transaction arranged through the platform.

Seller responsibilities

Sellers are responsible for ensuring their listings are accurate, lawful, current and not misleading.

Sellers should only list machinery they are authorised to sell or represent, and should provide honest details about condition, ownership, location, availability and known faults.

Buyer responsibilities

Buyers are responsible for carrying out their own checks before purchasing machinery.

This includes verifying condition, ownership, specification, safety, compliance, suitability, export/import requirements, taxes, transport, installation and any other relevant risks.

No professional advice

Information on the platform is provided to support marketplace communication and should not be treated as legal, financial, tax, engineering, safety or compliance advice.

Users should take independent professional advice where appropriate.

Platform changes

Machinery Matchmaker may update features, pricing, moderation rules, listing rules and access conditions as the platform develops.

These launch terms should be reviewed and replaced by solicitor-approved terms before major public promotion or paid scale-up.
